@ Unicorn: Hmm, that link seems to be about a security flaw in the RPC service. It would only crash if people sent a malicious packet, and the server was running an unpatched win2k.
@ BlackMantis: Try checking the event log to see if there were any problems starting the RPC service. Often the event log contrains useful information for narrowing down the cause of problems.
Does this happen at EVERY logon/startup?
