I too have the Plextor 708A. The few DVD's I burned on it made solid copies. I am very content with it, not to mention it has dropped in price since it was first released... Now if I could only get my hands on a few 8x DVD+R's to test out.

I just love the fact that this drive supports all available formats as well as adding speed to the burning process.

I totally recommend the 708A to anyone looking for a DVD burner. I am sure that there are plenty of other drives out their that are just as good... I chose to go with Plextor because I only had great experiences with them... I upgraded from the 504A to the 708A.
