Yeah you can mix them alright. I have them mixed, but to avoid any errors whatsoever (haven't tried that auto detection option in BIOS), I have underclocked my PC2700 to a PC2100. Underclocked? Yeah, so that I can have 2/2/2/6 timings. But you might even be able to overclock your PC2100 to a DDR333 to match the other RAM stick. Mine just works perfectly (overclocked) with moderate (default) timings.
