Hey guys and gals
I just had a question about raid. I'm thinking of buying two Maxtor DiamondMax Plus D740X 6L040J2 40GB Ultra ATA/133 7200RPM Hard Drives and hooking them up in a RAID 0 array, to improve performace.
But I know virtauly nothing about RAID, so I was just wondering how much it would improve my performance. Does it just double the rpm so I would basicly have a 14,400 RPM harddrive?

Bye the way when I say RAID 0 array I'm thinking of the one that uses two harddrives as one and reads and writes to both (but not the same data on each drive). Not sure if thats RAID 0 or not but I think so hehehe
