Here is a cut and paste from the DONOTCALL.GOV site:

"but if you make a request to a specific organization that they not call you, they are required to honor your request. If they subsequently call you again, they may be subject to a fine of up to $11,000."

Apparently individual states' efforts didn't do much to stem the flow of crap to your phone. Hopefully the Fed government can do a better job. It all comes down to how much telemarketing SCUM contribute to political campaigns this year, we all know that!
