So you are saying that most DVD R's are +R? DVD-R is the most comnmonly used format, until fairly recently you couldnt get a +R drive to save your life. DVD-R was the first instroduced format, hence it is still the most commonly used. The part about the superdrive may have been incorrect but the question about the difference between +R & -R was right, it's simply a difference in the format of the disks. And i honestly couldnt see the benefit of having a +R drive over a -R drive, it didnt burn any faster and the disks cost more.
