This is so true, but sadly often the case.
In my country the word Moslim or Islam will get people in a state of anger any piece of common sence that they had lleft will vanish. Especialy when people mention those words in the same sentence with any crime. People get blinded by prejudist and hate and are unable to think straight. And that last bit might have been the case here too, but then backwords
