I enjoy playing games with em too
Conversations go like this:
Caller: Hello, is *name* home?
Me: Who?
caller: *name*
me: who is this?
caller: so and so from blah blah
me: who are you looking for?
caller: *name*
me: what's your name?
caller: so and so
me: where are you from?
caller: *anytown*
me:what's this about?
caller: *gives pitch*
me: who are you looking for?
caller: *name*
me: Have you ever been in a turkish prison?
caller: ummm....is *name there*?
me: who?
caller: *name*
me: who's this?
caller: so and so.
me: I'm an excellent flyer... (in my best 'rainman' voice)
caller: ummm, ok....
me: have you ever seen a grown man naked?
caller: is *name* there?
me: who's this?
and so on and so on 'till they finally get fed up at which point I say:
"Take me off your list and do not call again or I will press charges"
I have strung them along at times for 1/2 hour to 45 minutes before finally they get an idea that I am yanking their crank...and if they are busy with me then they are not making money selling to anyone else...
