I had absolutely no problem with XP until I loaded the above mentioned fix. I'll admit XP is pretty solid, just like 2000. We had a beta 3 version of 2000 loaded on a no-name laptop and we couldn't make it crash, believe me we tried! It seems MS finally has a decent OS after all these years, but then there are those patches! Aaah! I was just ranting about their "patches that fix one problem and at the same time create another problem" fixes, that's all.

I have tried Red Hat Linux 6, 7 and 9. They are getting better, especially version 9, with so much more hardware support. With V9, before I had a chance to set up an Internet connection, it was already online getting the latest fixes! They have come along way.
