I'm going mad here...
Here's the story: Okay, I put a ForteMedia FM801 sound card into my computer and now I'm happy... When I get into XP it gives me the Add New Hardware stuff and yeah, NOW, when I try to add a joystick my computer restarts itself and when I get back into XP it tells me "XP Recovered from a Serious Error"... I looked at the log file and saw this: "(Sun Apr 14 20:18:46 2002.301984) : WDM call returned error: 4200".
That's the problem, and my sound card driver has the WDM stuff on it I have no idea what it's about.
The driver was a 98 driver, I think, so I need a 2000/XP driver.
Now 2 things:
