unicorn is on a distinguished road
...but a while ago when I installed a Athlon XP I found out that the temperature was not allowed to rise above 80-90 degrees Celsius. IMHO even that is far too high for anyone to feel comfortable.
In my box the processor temp is around 55 degrees Celsius. I have put Motherboard Monitor to shut it off if it reaches 65 degrees. This is pretty warm compared with temperatures that are reported by the freaks in overclocking forums, they tend to keep their processors at around 40-45 degrees Celsius (using extreme coolers and a lot of fans...). My temp is rel high as I have put the box inside an office box and built it into a kinda shelf thus making it nearly soundless.
