CARTMAN is an unknown quantity at this point
After you crated bzImage you do make modules && make modules_install.

If you dont know what bzImage is then you need to read on kernel-compling-howto @ www.linuxnewbie.org

Ahh and /me still looks for Crossover Plugin for LinuX
