unicorn is on a distinguished road
Today I got mail from Agnitum announcing that Outpost Pro v2 is available for download and also free for previous users of Outpost Pro v 1.
This kind of news aren't news, they are an everyday event with different companies promoting their stuff. Now I happen to be a user of Outpost and also entitled to upgrade, maybe that's why I read with some interest...

...the world isn't what it used to be. I remember when I first booted a computer all by myself (about fifteen years ago). Those days, not that long ago, I was amazed that it actually worked. Then, later, I was impressed by all the things one could do with the machine. It was so exciting to load a new version of DOS and then a wordprocessor, later Windows and MS Word in different version. Those days a 3.5"-floppy was big, heck, you could put so much text there, several books actually. Then next step was to try a new version of Netscape, like 1.5 or 2.0 or something when they integrated a mailclient into the browser programme. (From then everything got kinda bloatware I think. Netscape was around 2 megs and it was huge.)

Now all that is gone since long, a major upgrade of the firewall make me interested instead...

Oh well, thank you for reading, I feel better again.
