Zone...it was the actual windows Server 2000 log on screen....
BigHead....thanks for the links..i have resorted to using PCanywhere for now on the one computer...its so damn sluggish that i hate to connect to it...
I've checked out seemingly every link i could find to configure the remote network...I still seem to have one computer that is impossible to connect via Remote Desktop...although you can access any shared resources on it without any problems....and interestingly you can make outgoing remote connections without any problems too...
I think it might have something to do with the XP security although it has been disabled, and all other firewall software has been turned off...
I'll keep you posted if your interested...
