yeah it was, i finally figured it out after about 4 reinstalls, for some reason it wasn't creating the files /dev/usb***, i'm not sure why, but i finally just played with modprobe and insmod and it finally worked, thankfully, i'm gonna try redhat9 this weekend and see what it's like, i love mandrake 9 so far though
