The MPEG2 format of SVCD files is not directly supported by WMP. Reborn is thinking that the video file is a .DAT file (a special MPEG1 format) which is used in a standard VCD (by the way these files can usually be played directly with WMP). I recommend you burn the BIN.CUE image file to a CD and use PowerDVD version 4.0 to play the disc. This works great for me. Many stand alone DVD players also support the VCD and SVCD format. My APEX 3201 plays SVCDs just fine.
