The Day the Earth Stood Still), I was familiar with this image from the old Science Fiction Book Club ads.

P.S. Got my Gort statuette in the mail today. The little sucker weighs about 2 pounds! Would make a great "Oscar" for SF movies. Or a nice paperweight.
