Any chance that your drive is connected to a PCI IDE card?Normally DMA option should be listed under the "advanced options " of your primary and secondary IDE channel properties tab
Check also your parallel port settings in your bios:should be set to "ECP+EPP" to prevent DMA problems with some setups...
