Wow... been busy with stuff and finally got through reading that post. I remember the bionic man "Steve Austin," The FONZ, and pinball machines... if you were good you could play for a VERY long time for a quarter. And you could get free games too via high score and the infamous match!
I remember the first vid game in the arcade I ever played, Lunar Lander. Only about 5 minutes for a quarter, and I remember all my friends saying those video games were such a rip off; they would never fly.
I remember walking to school in grade one with friends - today one of my kids is in grade three and no faqqin way I would let her walk alone. And with the world seeming more scarey everyday, I worry about what we will leave for my three little girls.
Amazing how things change - btw born in 1967
