adams is an unknown quantity at this point
building a new computer and have two wires labeled m/b switch (green and black wires). what is that supposed to be?

also the case has two front panel usb ports. Each port has one red(+5v), one black(ground), one white(-D), and one green (+D). now the motherboard has 10 pins for usb1 and 10 pins for usb2. the instructions that came with the case say to to connect the red cable ot pin 1 and the black cable to the rest of the pins. (note: they are just one connector to each wire).

below is how the motherboard says to hook up the front usb ports:
Code:
pin                     signal name                       function 1                       vreg_fp_usbwr0                 front panel usb power 2                       vreg_fp_usbwr0                 front panel usb power 3                       usb_fp_p0-                         usb port 0 negative signal 4                       usb_fp_p1-                         usb port 1 negative signal 5                       usb_fp_p0+                        usb port 0 postive signal 6                       usb_fp_p1+                        usb port 1 postive signal 7                       gnd                                     ground 8                       gnd                                      ground 9                       key                                      no pin 10                     usb_fp_oc0                         overcurrent signal
my question is can i take the usb port1 red wire and hook it up to pin1 on usb1 and the black wire and hook it up to pin 7 on usb1 and do the same thing on usb port2 on the usb2 panel?

hope all this made sense. just don't want to have to buy a new motherboard cause i short something out. thanks in advance.
