@Sephiroth
Thanks for your reply The computer I referring to is a newly homebuild rigg. I got it up running last week. Itīs build around a fairley new motherboard from Gigabyte, GA-7vkmp, itīs a micro-ATX board with a lot of onboard stuff powered by an AMD XP2200+ . Primary itīs for "office-use", NOT for gaming. But there is a possibility to hook up an addon-vga and a soundcard (3pci+1agp) later if you want to play the hottest games.
Iīve found out, to my disapointment, that the bios-chip is soldered directly onto the board so a hotswap is impossible so Iīm a bit scared if a flash goes wrong.

But what could go wrong by just "unhiding" the hidden settings, as long as you donīt alter any "hidden settings" you donīt understand.

My question is what these options in AMIBCP really result in? There is an option "ACTIVE" which you can set to "YES" or "NO". The hidden settings have this option set to "NO". If I change this to "YES", I assume these settings will be visible in the bios-setup-screen BUT will this result in enabling any unpredictable consequences?

I can send you the bios prog AMIBCP and the actual rom file to play around with or you can test it with any other AMI-BIOS romfile.

PM me your mailbox if you have a sparetime for this kind of modding.

Cheers
IB
