1: It doesn't. It creates a partition and format it FAT. hen when the installation is finished it converts it to NTFS. (Btw: I don't recommend to manage the installation this way. It's better to format the partition NTFS first and then performe the install.)
2: Partition Magic (and maybe others) does this. Last time you asked I followed the thread with some interest to see if there were other ideeas.
What is the situation with your boot-floppy-project?
