AVG Anti-Virus System even spots programs that act like viruses, so they're dealt with, even if there isn't a virus definition installed. You can manually run a virus scan on your files and e-mail, or schedule them at predetermined times and folders. When an infected file is detected, it is automatically quarantined and inoculated in the background.
