Error: "The application does not have a valid Symantec digital signature. It may have been tampered with" (3002,1530)

Situation:
After installing Norton AntiVirus (NAV) or Norton AntiVirus Professional Edition (NAV Pro) 2003, when you try to start the program you see the error message "The application does not have a valid Symantec digital signature. It may have been tampered with." In the lower-left corner of the error message box, you see the numbers 3002,1530.

Solution:
This error can be caused when NAV or NAV Pro program files are digitally signed using Intel's Image View software. To fix the problem, contact Intel technical support for assistance.
