Asustek Computer has recently initiated price cuts in the Taiwan market for its Intel P45-based motherboards, according to sources at Taiwan distributors.
Sources at Asustek explained the price cuts to buoyant sales of P45 motherboards. Since the first batch of P45 boards sold out at soon as they hit shelves, many distributors/agents approached Asustek about a possible price cut to further stimulate sales prior to the summer holiday period, the sources said.
