Pirate Bay Owners hit with legal action
In yet another stage of the ongoing legal saga between the film and music industries, the four owners of the popular torrent search engine have been hit with another lawsuit for "Conspiracy to break copyright law". This suit directly targets the four owners, instead of the site itself, which hosts none of the content, but links to .torrent files that allow users to download the content.

Co-founder Peter Sunde, and three others could face up to two years in prison and a fine of 1.2 million kronor if convicted in this case. Many attempts have been made previously by the industry to take down The Pirate Bay, but each has been defeated by the loose copyright laws that exist in Sweden. We can only wait to see how this latest attempt to take down this giant of P2P bittorrent sharing pans out. Will it succeed at last, or be beaten down again?
