Microsoft released a service pack for Windows XP. It fixes a serious
security hole that Microsoft has known about for more than 11 weeks.

More Details here:

h**p://grc.com/default.htm has more details and a few nice security utilities.

h**p://24.78.2.184/helpcenter.htm
has the specifics of how this security hole can be used to delete files in any folder a hacker targets. Also there are a couple "easy fixes" you can apply immediately.

Windows XP users can use their built-in Windows Updater to grab the update.

Also, researchers have discovered that inadequate security restrictions
in Internet Explorer make it possible for an attacker to execute script
on any Web page that has frames.
