did you remove the previous soundcard driver before replaced with the new one? i hope it does not sound too stupid :D

have you tried http://www.hitpoint.com.tw/drivers/win2k-xp-eng.exe?

definitely looks nicer and improve the airflow,...

definitely looks nicer and improve the airflow, but some ppl said that the unshielded one might cause interference of data transfer. me never had any problem tho since i'm not a hardcore in those.
