Only way I've found to get rid of them is to goto:>

TOOLS > OPTIONS > PRIVACY and check the box 'This is a shared computer so don't display my tabs'.

Then Sign out and in and they be gone. :D

Just done a sleepstream of SP1 into my copy of XP...

Just done a sleepstream of SP1 into my copy of XP Professional (Corp), and just for fun, installed it with the old 'PCFKW'.......... serial. To my complete suprise, this was not only accepted...
