With Nero InCD 4056 installed, I'm getting some buggy action on my WinXP setup. The main annoyance is that Power Quest Drive Image 6 will not start up for about 15 seconds. Once started up it appears to work ok, but since I burn few dvd-rw's I've uninstalled it. Also, Norton AV sees to think it's a virus when PQ Drive Image re-boots into DOS from the floppy image.

I'm going to test Veritas RecordNow v 4.5 that came with my Sony DRU-505 and also a free soft I found with a Google search called Burn4Free.

Before going further, I'd like to know if any BetaONE members have experienced troubles with Nero InCD.

Thanks.

I guess the easy answer is a question: Why am I trying to use InCD, a packet buner. I can burn DVD-RW's with Nero w/o InCD installed. Silly me!

I love it when people get an insight like that, by a sudden and on their own. First it reliefs me from having to say something like" Those packet burners have done nothin' but caused problems - ditch it!", second it also gives me the hope that I one day should have a similar experience (insight, idiot).:)
The packet burner ideea is nice - but to many flaws, too many blue screens, to slow and how irritating isn't it when you loose data you have burned to be safe?

How true this is. I remember playing around with packet writing when it just came out, and I remember that it just gave me heartaches. At one stage I had to re-install Windows and all my other software because of packet writing. :( Screwd up my system real good. ;)

So, as .unicorn says, stay away from it if you don't want to turn grey prematurly. :D
