Hey robinwilson16,

A book that I highly recommend is PHP Fast & Easy Web Development 2nd Ed.  This book helped me get started with PHP...  Besides, there are a vast amount of informative sites out there that offer free tutorials as well as sample code... Just do a simple Google search.
