I have a web host that offers me unlimited mb, and ftp users. the problem is these users can delete, meaning they have all permissions.. Is there any way to change this via ftp browser?

There is, but I believe you have to have Admin priviledges on the FTP. It also depends on the FTP software they are using.

hmmm, well if anyone logs in, they have admin becaue they have full permissions meaning delete, ect..... How would i go about changing the permissions via ftp browser like smartftp?

Hi Folks, this sort of thing is controlled by the SysOp of the server. All you can do is ask for it to be setup "Properly"....:)

Rggg, I will see what i can do.. See my purpose behind this is to set up a massive Ftp file sharing bank but the way it stands now is.. Users can delete and I know betanet holds great people in this community, there are a few im sure that would not be cool. I could possibly (if I cant have them set permissions) keep the ftp for privite use only which I will give members say over 50 posts access.. I dunno
