I was wondering about time travel the other day & thinking that it is obvious that if the technology is created, and it will be created at some time in the furture, then time travellers could be amoungst us now. However, why travel to this time, as apposed to any other time?

Hmmmm, interesting.* Sounds a bit like religious fervor, but keeping an open mind I?ll assume it?s true.* Maybe John Titor really did travel here from another time.* Apparently no one can find evidence of his existence in Florida, where he was supposedly from, but that is what faith is about.

Also assuming, shall we say, the butterfly effect is correct (the Flap of a Butterfly's Wings in Brazil could set off a Tornado in Texas), couldn?t inserting a person from another time change many different outcomes?* According to writings, Mr. Titor said that the only events his visit changed was a book not being written and a few sporting events.* Perhaps, after interacting with our world for six months, he threatened his own future.* They say he just vanished one day ? maybe he went back to the future, or perhaps he just ceased to exist.

So, the question is not, can we travel in time, but do we really want to, say, send boatloads of tourists down the Nile, partying like it?s 1999 - BC?** Yup it?s scary.
