Howdy Guys & Gals:
Yesterday, for the very first time :D, I set up a network consisting of my two computers using the network wizard in XP, a piece of RJ45 cable and an antique NIC. All seemed fine except the internet connection won't work on the secondary computer . The network card is in working order as files can be shared between the two machines. There is another problem related to this and perhaps this should be posted somewhere else but this has interfered with Bulletproof FTP because I can't get the server to work from an outside machine. It's fine when I test it out. It was fine before networking the two machines. Hope this makes sense. |
do you get anykind of error or anything when you try and use the internet on the secound machine? also i assume both machines are running xp right?

Did you enable internet sharing on your computer connected to the internet??

You may also try turning off the XP firewall, it tend to stop all kinds of connections.
