Maybe a lame question, but is there any way to serch for an irc channel that has moved and left no new address ?
I had been using a certain channel for months, and they have moved around some, but always I had found there new home, but this last time was a messy split and no info on new home.... any info appreciated SeeYa :) |
Other than word of mouth or going to their website if they even have one I don't know.

Hmm yes i know that prob have been there to
but one thing you can try is if your in a channel lets say undernet in the status window type /list and all the channel in that irc server come up.. That is one way to do it . PittPull |
Another trick you can try is to place a notify (I know this works with mIRC) on one or more of the "regs" from that chan. So when they login you are sent a notification that "reg user" just signed in. Then just ask them what the new chan is.
This usually works quickest when you set a notify on the chan bots, course they won't answer but you can do a /whois to find out what chans they are maintaining. Good luck, Weapon X |
