Ha, everyone else has been anouncing their vacations, so I just thought i'd let everyone know that their "idol" ;) will be away for a few days. Yup, you heard it right! I'm going CAMPING!!!!!!!!! Leaving this 100+ degree weather in Northern, CA. and going to the coast....65 degree weather, much better. :thumbsup:

You posted your birthdate. That's courageous. I hesittate. But when I was your age we never went on vacation. Was no such thing. I was 17 in 1954, the year I graduated from high school. Even before Elvis was on the scene. ...or Bill Haley...we were still listening to big bands from the late 40's, plus Ina Ray Hutton and Roller Derby. Have a nice time. In those days, the pc hackers of today were Radio Hams. I'm ex-W6DPL, if there are any old timers out there. :)

btw, tho I'm a Canadian, i spent my youth in Oakland CA, but am now happily back in Canada. :) Not far away enough from King George.

Have a ball ! Im leaving wednesday morning for 5 days reunion with my old army unit "11th armored cavalry". Better known as "Blackhorse". Ill have lots of pics when I get back. I am an ex-helicopter gunner/crewchief. They wont let me have a machine gun anymore though. Damn!
