I think the fact that the constitution is being practically rewritten as seen fit by the US government to be a scary thought. These are not good days and it's going to get worse. My mate from Germany says that all great civilizations reach a point where they start to crumble and self-destruct. History has proven this fact time and time again. So are we, the United States of America, there already just past our 227th birthday?

Some more points to ponder:

1: More people have been killed in wars on European soil since 1900, than ALL previous wars since history began.

2: Presidents lie ("I never had sex with that woman")

3: presidents lie during WARTIME and the last I looked the U.S. (Free World) is still at war

4:Get out and vote if you do not like something. (2000 was a fluke not a conspiracy) We still try to do it right. look at the California governer being recalled as an example. After 2 terms Prezez are gone for good

5: America, with a past that is sometimes very regretable, is still, if not the "Spirit of Freedom" at least the "Sword Of Freedom". The world is a very dark place now. Who is going to bear the brunt in Liberia?

6: Your grandkids will still be free to blow off their fingers on the Fourth of July..lol

Actually, I did vote and it wasn't Bush, but then again I think neither candidate of the big two were that great. I wish people would realize we have more than two parties here in the US. Me, I'm voting GREEN next time which is what I've changed my registration to recently. I know we won't win at least anytime soon, but it has to start somewhere.

The constitution was meant to be re-written. Thats how the founding fathers wanted it.
Ammendments....etc. ;).
