I know this prolly belongs in File Swapping and Online Media but I want a lot of feedback and I know I'll get it here. :)
I have digital cable now, and want to archive my favorite TV shows to vcd or svcd. What program do you use? Why do you like it? Was it costly? How simple is it to use? How well does it work with XP? I could go on. But instead, I'm looking for lots of feedback. Thanks to all that can input on this. :) |
i use intervideo windvr. it can capture in mpeg1 or mpeg2.
i tried showshifter and a couple of others but windvr was the easiest to configure and everything. if anyone else has a recommendation i would like to know too, i'll always try out a different one. |
I use ATI MMC 8.x. It is a little bulky, but I tried all the rest and time-shifting (pause, rewind live TV) seems to work best on ATI. Could not get shifting to work in WinDvr. For Playback of my captured files I use WinDvd Platinum.

I definatelly would say the Hauppage WinTV software!! It very easy to use and you can capture in mpeg 1 and 2. The quality is also very good!! Tried lots of other apps for it in the pass and they where crap and a pane in the ass!! I got the WinTV-PVR-250/350 card and I definatelly think it the best!!! :P
I hope this helps you!! also check out:http://www.tv-cards.com Enjoy!! Protecteur :D |

Topic moved. Partly because I have chosen WinDVR. The other part was either my conscience or that voice in my head (could it be KC?)
