If you dowloaded OpenOffice.org 1.0 suite and didnt like the menu fonts and got some font problems there are two things you should do :

1- Download menu font addon from ftp.closeedge.net/pub/cartman

2- Visit http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=4366 if you have font anti-aliasing problems. There is a simple work around for the issue.

And just a side note OpenOffice.org is really good at opening m$ formatted files.
