When I back up or move my Outlook Express files elsewhere, I simply copy the whole Outlook Express Folder from User/Idnetities/OutlookExpress and copy that into Outlook Express. Since Outlook looks for such a directly in Outlook Express, is it possible to direct Outlook to seek it on a cdr, or other media?

I haven't tried this except in Outlook Express and this procedure is how I move my e-mail from an image to a clean installation. Outlook simply imports from Outlook Express, so ....

Assuming your emails are in Local Folders:
in Outlook Express, you can go
File > Export > Messages > OK > All Folders
this will export all your messages to the pst file Outlook XP is using.
By default it is
C:\Documents and Settings\jtk\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Personal Folders.pst
(unless you have configured Outlook differently).

Now copy the pst to a CDRW and take it with you to the office.
At office Open Outlook
File > Import & Export > Import from another program or file > Personal folder file (pst) > Browse for your pst file and select the folders you want to import. :)

You could also do the following:

In Microst Outlook
Go to File
Select 'Import & Export'
Then select 'Import Internet Mail & Addresses'
Then select 'Outlook Express 4.x, 5'

From there on you should pretty much be able to simply follow directions.

Sanjay, to import from Outlook Express he should have his emails at office's Outlook Express. or else, the home PC and office PC should be networked. ;)
