Hello,
I just lost a stealth disk and I had about 6.5 gigs on it :( Now I want to see my hidden files and I can't  I don't know if a tweaking program is preventing me to see these files  Need help please |

come on guys |
You haven't mentioned what kind of program you used to "hide" the files...
If you are using XP, you can restore your system to an earlier date, before you hid the files and see if that works... wase4711 |
I just want to see the "hidden files" all hidden files ;)
Not only the files that I have hidden but all the files. When I choose to see hidden files in the option folder, It take a couple of second to close the window but the "settings are changing back to not show the hidden files" |
Bads
Strange prob you have there,I just tryed it here and all worked First HAve you any tweak prog installed that have locked you to change the hidden files? It can be that prob if you have one installed.. Like tweakxp there if i remeber right you have an opsiosn to change hidden fils can you untick Hide protected operating system files??? PittPull |
I seem to remember what PittPull says seems correct, but are you logged on with "Admin" rights?
Try creating another account and giving it admin rights and see if you can go in and change things from the new account. Just a suggestion |
I just open a CMD boxe with the switch "/A H" and I can see my hidden files
Now is this a way to make them permanently visible ? |
C:\>attrib C:\boot.ini +S
Not resetting hidden file - C:\boot.ini Not working too :( |
try this:
attrib c:\boot.ini +s -h |
Thanks Sephiroth ;)
This is working for this file ;) Will this file viewable after a reboot ? Because when I try to fusion 2 partitions using partition magic, I receive this message :"cannot read the sequential file" "System 32 compressed or dammaged" |
