Hi,

I try to play a DVD today but in all of my Drives, I can't see a movie or video :( If I put another CD like Windows XP, I can see what is on the drive but not with a DVD :blink: :angry:

I try in my DVD, CDR and CDROM drives and I have the same result ???

I really don't understand why.............I do a sfc scannow but the problem is always there.

Need help please

I just reinstall the latest DirectX and nothing is working :(

Did you try getting the latest updates for your DVD drive?

Hi bads , it could be that the laser in your dvd is failiing , it may still be good enough to read a cd-rom but not a dvd-rom. A normal cd/cdrw drive will definately not even see a DVD disk so that is normal.
I had an experiance a while back where I could not play movies but I could still read the DVD in EXplorer.
In the end I re-installed my DVD player software and it started working again.

I just uninstall Cyberlink POwer DVD 5 and reinstall it but the problems are still there :(

I will go to buy another DVD-Rom this afternoon

I just buy an LG 16 x for $54 CDN

Now it's the time to install it and see if all is working ;)

Nothing is working for the moment :( I can't eject or close the tray :blink: And no media is inserted when I put a DVD on it :angry:

Finally all is working fine ;)

This was a cable problem and all my drives are working correctly now :D
