I just got this email, and reported it to paypal... it's obvious fraud, you'll notice it, along with this line in the email's source:

Quote:

< form action="http://www.paypal.com001110000111000110100111000111000011 1000110

@bigparty.port5.com/01111011100011101010101100111001.php" method="get">

without the line breaks... added them so the table didn't become five miles long

ffs, and the space after the <

Now hopefully paypal has good customer service and reads my email pretty quick and sends this website's owner a nasty message before people get conned out of tons of money ;)

This is crazy! You must be outta your mind if you fill out the form and submit it, obviously without getting a hold of PayPal to be sure if it is legit... Good call on sending this over to PayPal Sephiroth.

I got a similar e-mail SUPPOSEDLY from ICQ asking me to fill out a form on some non-ICQ web page including my password. Yeah, right. I forwarded that message to ICQ.

All I have to say is BASTARDS.... :angry:

Sorry, but it really annoys me when I here about such scams..

It makes my blood boil, especially because in the past I have had my credit card cloned, when
I payed a bill at an asian resturant in London...
I lost over £600 British pounds... it took me several months to claim it all back from my bank...!! :unsure:

I agree with you all, but I have to say that people who are stupid enough to fill in the form and send it are almost worth the mess the wind up in. I mean handing out all information needed to make payments to anyone (even paypal) is just plain dumb.

I hope the people who send such messages get caught though, cause I'm sure there are still people out there who did submit all info. Pathetic though....

I think it's all very fine and well to point fingers and say how you wouldn't send the information back to "Paypal" ;but the form does look somewhat legitimate and many people might be fooled. It's very good of Sephiroth to warn us.

What caught my eye right away was asking for your ATM PIN number; Paypal doesn't request that information.
