Sorry guys
don't know where to put this one, so moderators feel free to change the topic
There is a guy ( ore wowman) who is trying to abuse one of my friends at Yahoo messenger and Pc
He claims to take over the system and bla, bla, bla
So, all I'm asking, how to find his IP and the rest I will try to do on my own.
His Email seems seems to be mann_470@yahoo.com but I think it's a fake! (how cann this be done ?)
So please try to help me to find his real Email or IP because this person is realy a pain in the ASS
So if Posible, HELP, I wan't this guy to leave everybody alone and take no abuse
The rest I will try to take care of the situtation
HELP !

Hey greypigeon,

I am sorry to hear that your friends are going through something like this... The first thing that comes to mind is, why not report the screenname to Yahoo?

Besides that, I would think Yahoo would be able to track the IP that is being used to send out email through that email address... So I would think the first thing to do is contact them for help.

I hope everything turns out ok.

Good Luck!,

Open a command prompt and then type netstat -a

You will see many addresses - but one of them will be the person you are chatting with.

To narrow it down, kill any processes using the network that you dont need.

**EDIT I think this would only work if an actual transfer was to take place - voice, file transfer etc. Could work... try it.

Check the mail's header and find out what IP it's sent from. Then check if the IP; it might belong to a proxy, or if you are lucky, it leads you directly to the f*****g b*****d and you can take action by means of contact his (99% shure it is a male) ISP.

(Then also remember that everytime you mail using Hotmail or Yahoo or... your IP is sent together with the mail.)

:( :( Reorted this to Yahoo

But when I send him an email with an 1 of my hotmail accounts I got this

hmmm

http://profiles.yahoo.com/mann_470

if you look at the headers in the email messages he has sent, you should be able to find his ip addy there... good luck.

There's probably a function in Yahoo to "block user."
Use it. There's really no point in wasting all of your time on this guy. That's what he wants your reaction to be, instead, just ignore him. If you block him, then you'll never hear from him again.
Problem solved.
