Hey,
How can I convert a text file without crap at the top and botttom of every page. Like right now it shows something like this at the top: file:///C|/Documents%20and%20Settings/Administrator/Desktop/changelog.txt And At The Bottom: file:///C|/Documents%20and%20Settings/Administrator/Desktop/changelog.txt (1 of 37)6/10/2003 5:17:52 PM So I am wondering how the hell to get rid of it? I would think an option. If it is guess I just missed it. Someone please point me in the right directrion. Thanks, Will PS: That is done by just rightclick on text file and saying covert to pdf. :) |
I don't have adobe installed, but I think it's in the header and footer where you can add/remove it.
sorry I can't be more of a help. user needs |
I got the same as war59312 when right clicking.
I checked through all parameters of PDF printing file, but found nothing. I then tried loading into Word, and using it to produce PDF file, and it came out perfectly. Not much of an answer, but may do until someone comes up with the proper answer. |
yeah i got that same problem too, Will.
the only workaround was just copying the text to Word and then converting to PDF as robjohn said. McoreD |
Well I tired it and it kinda worked. Text looks crazy though. I already spent an hour formating and dont want to go through that again.
Anyways Adobe crashed on me for the first time. :( Crashed while converting. Tried a few times and same problems. But I reported it. That and at 100% it shows 100% but it looks like 80%. lol Just relized there is a C:\acrocrashlog.html file. |
If you have formatted your file, can you not print to PDF right from text editor?
I tried with Notepad, and it worked fine. |

but ok yea but it addes the title of the page to every page and like page 1, page 2, etc. at the bottom. Know how to get rid of both of those? |
If you're using NotePad, click:
File Page Setup Header: erase what's there. Footer: erase what's there (probably "page &p", and whatever else there is). If you want to see what you can do with headers and footers, click the question mark in top border and then click in header or footer space. It will show all commands. |
thanks a lot man
perfect now :) |
Your welcome. Glad it worked.
