ok, just built a new computer for my dad. maximum pc had an article about using sandra pro to break-in new systems to make sure that the new parts won't break down when he gets them home. (or they said that during a burn-in that, that will most likely cause any parts to fail if they are going to). anyways, i wanna know if there is anything i should be aware of before i start this process.
So is there anything i need to be aware of? thanks. |
I dont really think so...
If a problem surfaces, you should catch it while doing the burn in. and always a good plan to stress test a machine - especially if you are building it for dad. I have been there done that ;) |
Yeah, always best to make sure they are bomb proof :P Just remember that the burn in process will take a while and you probably won't be able to use the machine whilst it is taking place

oh yea forgot to add to the first post. the reason why i'm doing it is cause he lives 5 hours away (just in case you all were wondering).
@Dog, yea i realized that it was going to take a while and that i can't do anything on it. i still have my computer to play with while its going at it. thanks again, will probably start it tomorrow. |
