Armed with the results of 1.4 million years of computer time,
SETI@home scientists recently traveled to the Arecibo radio observatory in Puerto Rico for a closer listen to our 155 top "candidates". Now is a great time to start running SETI@home; you can download the latest software athttp://setiathome.berkeley.edu/download.html I just thouight this was Cool :D |
Yeah, i got the email as well :) I may have to start runnin the program again
|
Seti at Home used to crash my Win98 PC with it's screensaver. I haven't tried it lately in XP. It sure is a worthy cause to donate your extra CPU cycles to! Go Bezerkeley!

COOl, now i'm a bonefied computer geek, along with Seti installed! :D
|
I've been running SETI@home for about three years now and I don't plan on stopping now. Over 1000 units completed--pretty good considering that for 95% of that time, I was running the program on my PII 350MHz machine. :D
|
1 UNIT COMPLETED! WOOOHOOO!
Now, it's about 1/4 done with the second UNIT! OH YA! :D :) :kicking: |
Um cool...guess i will run it on both of mine...
guessing i can use same user name for both and get credit for both? |
Time to kick start this thread again :D
Are any of you members of groups on the seti site? |
Just reloaded it, and it still has 65 units that I processed from 2 years ago! Seems OK so far, the screen saver part of it used to kill my PC with 98SE.
