Hello all,
Is it possable to convert Windows 2003 Datacenter OEM to a VL version ? Tx |
I'm actually surprised your Microsoft rep has not helped you with this. Cause that is one of the only ways to get a legal original shipped to you.
PLUS -> The volume licence version, like most Windows XP, Server products only offers the blessing of not having to worry about product activation. Unfortunately, due to the nature of getting a Datacenter center server operating, your best bet would be to go through Microsoft, mabye even their Development Network. Though, I don't need to tell you about these, cause your rep probably already discussed some of these details with you. I hope that didn't totally confuse you. :( |
As we discussed here in:
http://www.betaone.net/forums/index....ST&f=6&t=24820 I think you will have to purchase a new key and do a reinstall in the server(s) of your network. I got some question for ya: How many servers you have in your network? Have already installed the OEM Version in those/that server(s)? and have you already activated Windows in that/all of them? Please contact Microsoft and inquire the legality of this 'converting process' other than purchasing a new key. :) |
Ok got it now. Tx for the help guys.
