When I went to the front page of this site, the IRC viewer had a little message where the text input box should have been. It said:

"Your IP has been logged and will be reported to your ISP."

What the hell does this mean?

nothing...it means absolutely nothing...hehe...we're fixing the chat viewer and improving it and have been encountering bugs...

moving to irc support, since thats what he's talking about.

Ok, calm down, nothing has happened, no one's ISP is being contacted.

Its justa precaution, like the whole site, movement is being logged, nothing bad, just encase someone trys hacking the site, we can crack down on them.

The chat viewer is a bit buggy at the moment, we have tried to make it (well zone atleast) not easy to hack.

But it seems it isn't perfect.

It seems some people are having a problem with it, and we will try and get it sorted soon, but at the moment, we want you to join the chat, and if you want, download Beta IRC script, and connect to the server info Orig posted.

If you have this problem, tell us what time you where trying to connect and when you saw the error message and if you see it every time.

We need to sort out this bug and need to know as much as possible about it.

This is where the problem was....

Your nick is Analog Chainsaw. Spaces get converted to %20 in the URL. That means the versions on both ends dont match. Catch #1. Catch #2, theres a space filter on the other end as spaces are illegal as IRC nicks.

I didnt know the forum supported nicks with spaces, but now that I do, I think I fixed it...

Tell me if it works/doesnt work.
