Hi i have updated from IE 5 to IE 6 with SP1 , it all works but there is no new look as in IE 6 xp,
i use win2k,i have upgraded before IE 5 to IE 6 in win2k and got the new XP browser look.
Any good ideas.jtk

Sorry but you have to be running XP to get the new toolbar icons otherwise it uses the default ones, the only way to do it is to use stardock's ie skinning program :(

I did this in windows 2000 proff 2 months ago and it went fine IE 6 with XP look. but had to put an old backup of windows 2000 proff in because of an BSoD error.I then went to ms update and Downloaded IEsetup.exe to again update to IE6 and now, no good IE6 xp look.

are you sure you were using win2000 and not xp? b/c other than the desktop icons, all toolbar and toolbar icons in IE6 under win2000 stay the same. only icons to xpish. im using win2000 with IE6 and it's the same here.
